The Lucy & Desi Blogathon is here!
Christmas has come early! Today starts the three-day celebration of icons Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, whose contributions to TV, film, and comedy in general are still being felt today. Bloggers, please comment below with your link(s) and I'll add them to the roster as soon as I can. And if you're not participating by writing a post, please read others' entries and support them by leaving a comment!
Without further ado...
I kick things off with my article The "I" in I Love Lucy, a look at Desi's incredible legacy as a Latino in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
MovieMovieBlogBlog brings us one of Lucy and Desi's best moments in the I Love Lucy episode "Lucy Does the Tango."
Wendy joins with a delightful post on the 65th anniversary of I Love Lucy.

The Midnite Drive-In writes about all of Lucy's fun appearances (including one with Desi!) on What's My Line?
One Gal's Musings brings Rock Hudson to the party with the hilarious I Love Lucy episode "In Palm Springs."
Best friends Bob Hope and Lucille Ball teamed up many times, including the film Wide Screen World talks about: The Facts of Life (1960).
Caftan Woman wasn't content writing about just Lucy and Desi -- she had to invite Ida Lupino and Howard Duff, too! Their hilarious shenanigans can be found in her post on The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour episode "Lucy's Summer Vacation."
Once Upon a Screen contributes a piece on The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour episode "Lucy Wins a Racehorse." Not even Harry James and Betty Grable can resist joining the fun!
For my second post, I discuss one of my favorite ILL episodes, "The Adagio."
The Pure Entertainment Preservation Society looks at the film that started it all for our beloved couple, Too Many Girls (1940).
Lê over at CrÃtica Retrô discusses the fabulous Stage Door (1937), one of the best films Lucy was a part of.
LA Explorer hitches a ride with Lucy and Ethel in the I Love Lucy episode "The Tour." Stick around long enough and you may catch a glimpse of Richard Widmark!
Thanks so much to all of the participants and all of you who have supported this blogathon by reading these astounding tributes! And please join me again in February for the Clark Gable Blogathon as we honor the King of Hollywood (who was also a good friend of Lucy and Desi!).
