A new look.

Blogger knows how to get me. I was perfectly fine with my blog's appearance, and then yesterday Blogger hit me below the belt: new themes. I'm weak, what can I say? (I also stayed up until 3 am working on customizing the design, so that could account for some of my weakness.) I'm still not 100% in love with this new look. There are a few features that bug me, particularly the absence of my sidebar that had my profile, blog awards, blogathons, and so on listed. If you, the reader, want to access that, you'll need to click on the three lines in the upper left corner.

Another thing I'm not wild about is my formatting is now slightly off for all of my previous posts. I'm seriously considering going back and fixing all 100+ of them if I can't get the widths of the design to cooperate. Anyway, this was all just to say that this is still Love Letters to Old Hollywood -- nothing's changed except the cosmetics. Feel free to let me know what you think of the look in the comments! And if you were wondering, the picture at the very top is one of my favorite cinematic images, with Kim Novak in Bell, Book, and Candle, which I'll be talking about in just a few days.

Have a great day, readers!
Michaela

  1. I thought it looked different here! You are so brave to work with new themes. It looks really fresh and I love the bright peachy background -- and large banner!!!!

Why not have fun with it, right? I only wish I could be more daring to try more looks with mine!!!

    Blessings on your day!!!!! :)

    1. Thanks, Net! I love this peach color too. I'm hopeless when it comes to themes. I think the last one I had lasted the longest, maybe 2-3 years...?

  2. Looks really good! I hope the formatting issues don't cause you too much of a headache.

    1. Thanks! Yeah, there are few things that get under my skin quite like wonky formatting.
